How to use Screen Recorder Online Free
- Choose what to record: Screen, Webcam or both (a round webcam bubble in a corner you pick), the audio (computer sound, microphone, both or none), size and frame rate, a bitrate, the recording format and a countdown.
- Press "Start recording", choose a tab, window or the whole screen in the browser dialog, and allow the camera or microphone if asked. After the countdown the timer, size so far and free storage are shown.
- Use "Pause" and "Resume" as needed and "Stop" when done (or stop sharing from the browser bar). If the tab crashes or is closed, reopening this page offers "Recover".
- Preview the recording, set the trim start and end (or use the playhead buttons), and choose WebM (fixed), MP4 or GIF.
- Press "Prepare download" and save the result, or download the raw recording, or discard it and record again.
Worked example
Tick Screen and Webcam, put the bubble bottom right, choose a 3 second countdown and 5 Mbps, then press Start recording and choose a browser tab. After stopping, set the trim to 2.0 and 45.5 seconds and choose MP4; the result is a trimmed H.264 video with the webcam bubble baked into the corner. If the tab had crashed, Recover would have offered the saved parts.

Important limitations
Screen capture needs a desktop browser (phones do not support it). The browser decides which sources offer computer sound, what frame rate and size you really get, and how much it can store; recordings above roughly 250 MB can be downloaded raw but not converted or trimmed in the browser. The webcam bubble is drawn by this tab and can stutter if the tab is in the background.

What happens if my browser crashes mid-recording?
The recorder hands over data every second and each piece is stored in your browser storage on this device. Reopen this page and an unfinished recording is offered for recovery. This depends on browser storage being available (it is not in some private windows).
Why does "Prepare download" matter for WebM?
A WebM written by the browser recorder usually has no length stored, so players cannot show a duration or skip around. Saving as WebM here rewrites the file locally by copying the streams, so the length and seeking work with no quality loss.
Can I get MP4 or a GIF?
Yes. MP4 (H.264 and AAC) and GIF (no sound, up to 60 seconds, 12 frames per second) are made on your device with FFmpeg after you stop. The first use downloads about 32 MB of processing code.
How does trimming work?
Set the start and end while previewing. MP4 and GIF cut exactly. WebM keeps quality by copying streams, so it starts at the nearest earlier keyframe and the start can be slightly earlier than you set.
Will computer sound always be captured?
Not always. Whether computer sound is offered depends on the browser, the operating system and what you share (tab audio is the most reliable), and you usually must tick a share-audio box in the picker. You are told when none arrived.
Can it highlight mouse clicks?
No. Browsers do not let a web page draw outside itself while recording another window. You can choose whether the pointer is shown.
