How to use What Browser Am I Using? Browser Info
- Open the page and read the list that appears at once; it is built from the browser you are using and needs no input.
- Check the Browser and Browser Version rows, which are parsed from the User Agent line shown further down.
- Look at the hardware rows: Hardware CPU Threads, Device Memory (RAM), Screen Resolution, Color Depth and Touch Points.

Worked example
On a desktop Chrome window the list might start with Browser: Google Chrome, then Browser Version, then Operating System: Win32. A 1920 x 1080 monitor prints Screen Resolution: 1920 × 1080 px and, at 24-bit depth, Color Depth: 24-bit (16,777,216 colors). Copy All Specs (JSON) then produces an object with keys such as "Browser", "Primary Language" and "Touch Points".

Modern privacy protections such as User Agent reduction and anti-fingerprinting may intentionally normalize or report approximate values for certain hardware specs.

Why does Operating System say Win32 on a 64-bit Windows 11 PC?
That row reads navigator.platform, a legacy value that browsers keep frozen. Windows always reports Win32 and Apple silicon Macs report MacIntel. It shows the platform family, not the real OS version or CPU architecture.
Why do Device Memory or CPU threads say Not Reported?
Device Memory is offered mainly by Chromium browsers, and it rounds to a few values with a cap at 8 GB. Some browsers also limit or hide the thread count to reduce fingerprinting, so a missing value is normal.
Can the browser name be wrong?
Yes. Detection only checks text in the User Agent string in a fixed order, so browsers built on Chromium that do not add their own token show as Google Chrome. Chrome and Firefox on iPhone contain Safari in that string and may be reported as Apple Safari.
Does Local Storage Available prove storage works?
It only checks that the localStorage object exists. A browser that blocks writes in private mode may still print Yes. Test with an actual save if that matters for your case.
What does Color Depth mean for the color count?
A 24-bit display gives 2 to the power 24, or 16,777,216 colors. The tool shows that figure beside the bit depth; it describes what the screen reports, not the true capability of the panel.
