How to use Audio Reverser
- Press "Choose Audio File", "Load Demo Audio" or "Record Microphone" and wait for the waveform to appear.
- Under scope, keep "Reverse Entire Track" or switch to "Reverse Selected Range Only (Censor / Riser)" and set Start and End (or press "Set Current").
- Optionally tick the fade-in riser envelope (a volume ramp on the reversed part).
- Under "Creative output and export" pick a result: plain reversed audio, real reverse reverb, or a palindrome or boomerang loop; set reverb decay and amount if needed.
- Choose WAV, MP3, M4A, OGG or FLAC and download. You can also reverse many files into a ZIP, or reverse a short video clip with its audio.
Worked example
Load a 4-second clip, choose Reverse Selected Range Only with Start 1.0 and End 3.0. The first and last seconds play forward, the middle two are reversed and the total stays 4.0 seconds. Switch the result to Reverse reverb to hear a swell build into the sound instead.

Important limitations
Reversal is lossless on the decoded audio, but every non-WAV export is a new encode. Reverse reverb and loops make the file longer than the source. Video reversal is limited to the first 30 seconds at up to 720p because it needs the whole clip in memory.

Frequently asked questions
What does the swell envelope actually do?
It multiplies the reversed audio by a rising curve equal to the position squared, going from near silence to full level. It is only a volume ramp, so the option is now labelled that way. For a real reverse-reverb effect use the Reverse reverb result.
How does reverse reverb work?
The selection is reversed, run through a reverb generated on your device, and reversed back. The reverb tail therefore builds up before the sound instead of after it. The output is longer than the input by the reverb tail.
Does range mode change the length of the track?
For plain reversal, no: only the selected section is flipped in place and the rest plays forward. Reverse reverb and the loop results lengthen the selected part.
What are palindrome and boomerang loops?
A palindrome is the audio followed by its reverse, and a boomerang is the reverse followed by the original. Both end where they begin, so they repeat smoothly.
What formats can I download?
WAV, MP3, M4A, OGG or FLAC. The bitrate menu applies only to MP3, M4A and OGG and is disabled for WAV and FLAC.
Can I reverse video?
Yes, short clips: the first 30 seconds are used, the picture is limited to 720p height and its audio is reversed too. Reversing needs the whole clip in memory, so large files are refused (over 100 MB).
