How to use Case Converter
- Type into "Input Text"; a starter sentence is preloaded and the line above the box shows live word and character totals.
- Click one of the 15 format buttons, such as "Smart Title", "camelCase", "CONSTANT_CASE" or "path/style"; the chosen name appears beside "Converted Output".
- Tick "Strip Accents / Diacritics (é → e)" or "Remove Special Symbols" when the text needs cleaning before conversion.
- Read the Code Variable Snippet Exporter, which wraps the result as a JavaScript constant, a Python assignment, a CSS selector and a JSON key, each with its own Copy button.

Worked example
Input "the lord of the rings". Smart Title mode gives "The Lord of the Rings" because "of" and "the" are minor words mid-title. snake_case gives the_lord_of_the_rings, camelCase theLordOfTheRings, PascalCase TheLordOfTheRings, CONSTANT_CASE THE_LORD_OF_THE_RINGS and Train-Style The-Lord-Of-The-Rings. Ticking Strip Accents first would turn "Café" into "Cafe" before conversion; without it the identifier formats drop the é entirely.
When to use this tool
- Turning a spreadsheet header into a snake_case database column name.
- Rescuing an all-caps paragraph pasted from a document by switching to standard sentence capitalisation.
- Making a CSS class in kebab-style and an environment variable in CONSTANT_CASE from one feature title.
Important limitations
Automatic casing cannot infer brands, acronyms, names, or style-guide exceptions. Review proper nouns.

Frequently asked questions
Which words does Smart Title format leave lowercase?
Short connectors such as a, an, the, and, but, or, for, nor, on, at, to, from, by, with, of, in, as, into, onto and via stay lowercase unless they open or close the phrase. Brand names and acronyms are not recognised, so fix those by hand.
Why did accented or non-Latin letters vanish in snake_case?
The identifier-style formats (camel, Pascal, snake, kebab, constant, dot, path, Train, COBOL) keep only A-Z and digits as words, so "café" becomes "caf" and Cyrillic disappears. Tick Strip Accents first to keep the base letter.
What is the difference between sWAP and aLtErNaTiNg styles?
Swap flips each letter's own capitalisation, so "Hello" becomes "hELLO". Alternating counts only letters and alternates lower, upper, lower, so "hello world" becomes "hElLo WoRlD" regardless of spaces.
What happens to line breaks in the identifier formats?
They are flattened. Paste a list of five names and you get one long identifier, so convert one name at a time. Upper, lower, title, sentence, swap and alternating keep the original lines.
Does the code snippet contain my full text?
No. The four snippets use only the first four words for the variable name and the first 20 characters of the output as the sample value, followed by three dots.
