Why does it say permission was blocked?
The browser remembers a refusal per site. Click the camera icon in the address bar, allow access for this page, and press Start camera again. On Windows and macOS the operating system can also block browsers from the camera in its privacy settings.
What is the difference between measured and reported frame rate?
Reported is what the camera driver says it is set to. Measured counts the frames that actually reached the page over two seconds. In low light many webcams slow down to expose longer, so measured can be well below 30.
Why can't I get 1080p even though my camera box says Full HD?
The browser asks for the resolution you pick and the camera answers with the closest mode it supports. USB bandwidth, a busy hub or another app using the camera can force a lower mode. The page shows the real result.
Is my video recorded or uploaded?
No. The live stream is shown in this tab only and stops when you press Stop or leave. A snapshot is created only when you press the button, and it goes straight to your downloads folder.
The camera works here but not in Zoom or Teams. Why?
Only one app can usually use a webcam at a time, and each app has its own permission and device choice. Close this tab, then pick the same camera inside the other app's video settings.
