How to use Schema Markup Generator
- Pick a type in "Select Schema.org Entity Type": Article, FAQPage, LocalBusiness, Product, HowTo, BreadcrumbList, Organization or SoftwareApplication.
- Complete the form that appears for that type, for example Product Name, Brand Name, Price and Currency (ISO 4217) for a product, or Business Name and Street Address for a local business.
- For lists such as FAQ questions press "+ Add Question" to add another pair.
- Watch the live JSON-LD output and the syntax hints update as you type.
- Use "Copy JSON-LD" to take the script block, or "Test with Google Rich Results" to open Google's own testing page in a new tab.
Worked example
Choose Product and enter the name Trail Shoe, brand Acme, price 79.99 and currency USD. The output is a JSON-LD script whose @type is Product, with a name of Trail Shoe, a Brand object called Acme and an Offer object that carries price 79.99 and priceCurrency USD. Rating fields appear only if you fill in the value and review count.
When to use this tool
- Adding Product data to a store page whose theme lacks structured data.
- Writing LocalBusiness markup with address and phone for a service company's contact page.
- Building BreadcrumbList data for a section that uses custom navigation.
Important limitations
Generates valid Schema.org JSON-LD structured data. Adding structured data enables Google Rich Snippet qualification, but actual display in SERPs is determined algorithmically by Google search ranking systems.

Frequently asked questions
Which schema types are supported?
Eight: Article, FAQPage, LocalBusiness, Product, HowTo, BreadcrumbList, Organization and SoftwareApplication. Other types such as Recipe, Event or VideoObject need a different tool or hand-written markup.
Does valid markup guarantee rich results?
No. It only makes the content eligible. Search engines decide whether to show enhanced results, and rules differ per type; for example FAQ and review stars have tight eligibility requirements.
Does the generator test my markup?
It applies simple in-page checks. Google's rich results test is a separate site opened by a button, and it needs a public URL or pasted code, so run the final markup through it yourself.
Should the data match what visitors see?
Yes. Prices, ratings, business details and questions in structured data should also be visible on the page. Marking up content that users cannot see can lead to the markup being ignored or penalised.
Can I combine several types on one page?
You can generate each block separately and place them in their own script tags, or merge them into one array by hand. The tool produces a single entity per run.
