Tier List Maker
Create custom ranking tier lists from images or text cards with zero watermarks, zero signup, and high-res PNG export. Your work stays on this device whenever possible.
How to use Tier List Maker
- Type a name in "Tier List Title"; the board starts with six rows labelled S, A, B, C, D and F.
- Fill the "Item Pool" with "Add Images" (several files at once), "Add Text Cards" (commas or new lines) or "Load Sample Items..." (Programming Languages, Web Browsers or Fast Food Favorites).
- Drag cards into rows, or click a card and press a row letter in the bar that appears, which also offers Pool and Delete.
- Click a tier letter to rename it, use the gear button to enter a new color, or "Add Tier" for an extra row.
- Press "Export PNG" for a 1200-pixel-wide image; "Reset" restores the defaults after a confirmation.
Worked example
Choose "Load Sample Items..." then "Web Browsers". The pool shows (9 items): Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Brave, Edge, Opera, Arc, Vivaldi and Tor Browser. Drag Firefox onto the A row and the pool counter drops to 8. "Export PNG" then saves tier-list.png showing Firefox beside the A label.
When to use this tool
- Ranking a favorite game series with images dragged from a folder.
- Sorting tools your team uses into S to F for a retro discussion.
- Making a quick shareable food ranking from the built-in sample cards.
Important limitations
Tier images are loaded and composited entirely inside browser HTML5 Canvas. Very large batches exceeding 100 high-resolution photos may require additional device memory during initial thumbnail rendering.

Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Files are read into browser memory and drawn onto a canvas locally. Because they exist only in memory, refreshing the page discards everything, so export before you leave.
Can I delete or reorder tiers?
Not in this version. You can add tiers (named through a prompt, gray by default), rename them and recolor them, but there is no delete or move control. "Reset" returns to the six original rows.
What color format does the gear button accept?
It asks for exactly #RRGGBB, meaning a hash plus six hex digits. Anything else, including three-digit shorthand, is silently ignored and the color stays as it was.
What does the exported PNG include?
The title and all tier rows on a dark background, 1200 pixels wide, with item squares of 96 pixels. Height grows with the number of items per row. The unplaced item pool is not part of the image.
How do text cards behave with long names?
Text cards are small 72 pixel squares with wrapping text, so long names get crowded. Keep labels short, or use images that already carry the name.
