How to use Invoice Generator
- Fill "Business name", "Business details", the optional "GST / tax registration number", "Bill to", "Client details" and "Invoice number".
- Choose a "Currency" (twelve codes from USD to SGD), a "Template" (Classic, Modern or Dark), then set "Issue date" and "Due date".
- Under "Line items" enter description, quantity and rate; "Add line item" adds a row, and Remove stays disabled while only one row remains.
- Enter "Discount (%)" and "Tax / GST (%)", and optionally attach a logo or signature image (PNG or JPEG).
- Press "Create invoice" to see the preview, then use "Download PDF" or "Print invoice"; "Reset / Clear draft" starts over.
Worked example
Currency GBP, two lines (3 at 400.00 and 1 at 150.00), Discount 10, Tax 5. Subtotal 3 × 400 + 150 = 1350.00; discount 1350 × 10% = 135.00; tax (1350 − 135) × 5% = 60.75. The preview shows Total GBP 1275.75, and with the number INV-001 the file is INV-001.pdf.

Frequently asked questions
In what order are discount and tax calculated?
Subtotal is the sum of quantity times rate. Discount is that subtotal times the discount percentage, and tax is applied to what remains. One tax rate covers the whole invoice, and amounts read like USD 1181.25, without thousands separators.
Is my work kept between visits?
Text fields and line items are autosaved in this browser's local storage as you type. Logo and signature images are not saved and must be attached again. "Reset / Clear draft" asks for confirmation before erasing.
Does the PDF work offline?
The PDF is built with the pdf-lib library fetched from a public CDN when you press Create invoice. With no connection, or the CDN blocked, the build fails with an error and no preview appears either.
How many line items fit?
One letter-size page only. If the items reach too far down, generation stops with "Too many invoice items for one page." Shorten the descriptions, since long ones wrap onto extra lines, or split the work across two invoices.
Does it follow my country's invoice rules?
No. The templates are generic, and required wording, numbering sequences and record retention differ by jurisdiction. The tool gives no tax or accounting advice, so confirm what your local rules demand.
