How to use Resume Generator
- Fill "Full name", "Professional title", "Email", "Phone" and "Location"; name and email are required.
- Choose a "Template": Classic, Modern (a blue header band) or Compact (smaller margins and a higher start).
- Write the "Professional summary" and enter "Skills (comma separated)".
- For each role use "Add experience" and complete title, dates and details; repeat with "Add education" for schooling.
- Press "Create resume PDF" and download the file, for example Alex-Morgan-resume.pdf.
Worked example
With the preloaded Alex Morgan sample and the Classic template, "Create resume PDF" reports "Created a one-page classic resume with 1 experience and 1 education entries." and offers Alex-Morgan-resume.pdf. Press "Add experience", fill a second role, and the same message then counts 2 experience entries.
When to use this tool

Important limitations
Applicant tracking systems vary. Avoid graphics-heavy templates when machine parsing matters and proofread every claim before applying.

Frequently asked questions
What if my content is longer than one page?
Only a single Letter page is produced. When text passes the bottom margin the tool stops with "This resume is too long for one page." Shorten entries or switch to Compact, which uses 40-point margins instead of 52.
Can I use accented or non-Latin characters?
The PDF uses built-in Helvetica, which covers Western European characters. Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic or emoji cannot be encoded, and generation is likely to fail with an error rather than substitute letters.
Is the output friendly to applicant tracking software?
It is a single column of selectable text under the headings Profile, Experience, Education and Skills, with no images. No tool can promise compatibility, so try copying the text out of the finished PDF.
Can I add a photo, bullets or extra sections?
No. There is no photo slot, no bullet glyphs and no custom headings. Each details box is free text, wrapped into lines, and skills are printed with bullet separators.
Does it work offline, and is anything saved?
The pdf-lib library is fetched from a public CDN when needed, so creating a PDF offline fails. Nothing you type is kept between visits, so save your text elsewhere.
