How to use Image Converter: PNG to JPG, WebP & More
- Select or drop one or more files (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, SVG, AVIF or HEIC/HEIF); each appears as a row in the queue with its size.
- Choose the format in "Convert All To": PNG, JPEG, WebP (default), BMP, ICO, or AVIF where your browser can write it.
- Set the JPEG/WebP/AVIF quality slider, and for JPEG or BMP pick the fill colour for transparent areas (white, black, light gray or any custom colour). For SVG set the pixel width to render; for ICO tick the icon sizes to pack.
- Press "Convert All Images"; each card then shows the new size and its own "Download" button.
- Use the ✕ button to drop a card, "Clear All" to empty the queue, or "Download All (ZIP)" to fetch every converted file in one archive.
Worked example
Queue logo.png (800 x 600, transparent corners), choose JPEG, set Alpha Fill to a custom colour, and convert. The row shows logo.jpg at 800 x 600 with the corners painted in that colour and the size change against the original. Choose ICO and tick 16, 32 and 48 instead to get one logo.ico holding three icon sizes.

Converting vector SVG or animated GIF images to static raster formats will flatten animations and fix scalable vector definitions to a set pixel grid.
Frequently asked questions
Is the BMP option a real bitmap?
Yes. It is written as an uncompressed 24-bit BMP built from the canvas pixels (transparent areas are filled with your chosen colour first), so ordinary bitmap readers open it. Files are large because nothing is compressed.
What does the ICO option produce?
A real .ico with one PNG image for every size you tick (16 to 256 px). Non-square sources are scaled to fit and centred with transparent padding rather than stretched.
Why did my transparent PNG turn white when saved as JPEG?
JPEG has no alpha channel, so the tool fills the canvas with the fill colour first (white by default; you can pick black, light gray or a custom colour). Choose PNG, WebP or AVIF to keep transparency.
Can it convert iPhone HEIC photos?
Yes. HEIC/HEIF files are decoded in your browser by a WebAssembly decoder that is downloaded from jsDelivr the first time you use it; the photo is not uploaded. Because the image is redrawn, EXIF data such as the capture date and GPS is not copied to the result.
Can I set the output quality?
Yes, for JPEG, WebP and AVIF (10 to 100 percent, default 92). PNG and BMP have no quality setting. If a browser cannot write the chosen format it hands back another one; the file extension then follows the real data and the row says so.
What happens to animated GIFs?
Only the first frame is converted, and the row shows a warning when a GIF has more than one frame.
