How to use Watermark Image
- Open the photo you want to mark using the "Choose an image" file field.
- Edit "Watermark text"; the default reads © ToolkitPoint, so replace it with your own name or site.
- Select a "Position": five anchor points, "Center" or "Tiled across image" for a repeating pattern.
- Set "Opacity" between 0.05 and 1 and choose a "Color" that contrasts with the picture, since every mark also gets a thin black outline.
- Press "Create image", inspect the preview at full size and download the PNG.
Worked example
Open a 1920 x 1080 photo and type "© Studio 2026" with "Bottom Right" and opacity 0.35. The font size is 1920 / 24 = 80 pixels, and the text ends 24 pixels from the right edge with its baseline at y = 1080 - 24 = 1056. Choosing "Tiled across image" instead puts rows at y = 60, 380, 700 and 1020, four in total.

Important limitations
Visual watermarks deter casual image redistribution but do not provide cryptographic DRM or prevent intentional image editing and cropping.
Frequently asked questions
How large is the watermark text?
Its size follows the image width: one twenty-fourth of it, with an 18 pixel minimum. On a 1920 pixel wide photo the text is 80 pixels tall, and there is no separate size control.
Can I use a logo image as the watermark?
No, only text is supported. The mark is drawn in bold sans-serif, so a graphic logo cannot be placed with this tool. For a logo, add the graphic in an editor and use this tool for text notices only.
How tiling is arranged?
Text repeats horizontally with a 100 pixel gap and vertically every four times the font size, starting near the top-left. Rows are not staggered, so the pattern looks like a plain grid.
Does a watermark stop people from stealing the picture?
Not reliably. A corner mark can be cropped out, and any text can be retouched. Tiled or centered marks are harder to remove, but none of them is tamper-proof.
Is the original image altered on my device?
No, the tool draws on a copy and offers a new PNG. The download can be larger than a JPEG original, which is normal for lossless output.
